Smith + Howard sought to create a more efficient layout that maximized every square foot while incorporating all necessary amenities and workspaces, even as they reduced their office space. The design needed to strengthen employee connections in a hybrid work environment while reflecting the company’s core values and culture. Flexibility was also critical, enabling employees to work effectively in various settings.
We addressed these challenges with a strategic design that allocated space efficiently while maintaining functionality. Open-plan areas, casual meeting spots, and communal spaces fostered employee connection and a sense of community. The design integrated Smith + Howard’s brand and values through visual displays of milestones, mission statements, and spaces celebrating employee achievements, keeping the culture front and center.
Flexible work settings catered to diverse needs, from quiet focus areas to collaborative hubs, empowering employees to choose environments that best support their tasks. This transformation delivered a workspace that is efficient, flexible, and deeply connected to Smith + Howard’s culture and values.
